Fall season coverage

Insure the patch, not the whole year.

Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, hayrides, and fall festivals run for a couple of months and then close the gate. We connect you with insurance professionals who write for that kind of season — and get you the certificate your landowner is asking for.

What we quote

One application, whatever your field turns into.

Most patches are more than pumpkins by October. The application asks about each attraction separately so the ones that need extra underwriting get it.

Pumpkin Patches

General liability is generally intended to help respond to everyday claims from an open field operation — uneven ground, wagon rides out to the rows, and heavy weekend foot traffic.

Corn Mazes & Attractions

Corn mazes, hayrides, petting areas, pumpkin cannons, and bounce houses are asked about individually on the application, because each one is underwritten on its own terms.

Also Run a Tree Lot?

Plenty of operators run a patch in October and a Christmas tree lot in December, often on the same ground. Check both on the application and one submission covers the whole run.

Why seasonal terms exist

Open ten weekends a year? You shouldn't pay for fifty-two.

Seasonal coverage is available for businesses that only operate part of the year. A patch that opens in early September and closes the first weekend of November is running roughly eight to ten weeks — plus setup before and teardown after.

Tell us your dates on the application and request the term that actually matches them, rather than buying a year of coverage for a two-month business.

For landowners & venues

Your landowner wants a certificate before you open.

Farms, churches, fairgrounds, and shopping centers usually require proof of insurance — a Certificate of Insurance — before a seasonal operation sets up on their property. The application has a dedicated section for it: who needs to be named as an additional insured, and what limits the lease calls for.

How the limits typically work

Standard general liability coverage is typically structured as $1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate. Check your lease or license agreement to confirm that limit satisfies what the property owner requires.

If the landowner requires higher limits, those can be quoted — note the requirement on your application and it gets reviewed.
